Hello Friends, i hope you all are well and this time i am presenting Folk Dishes of Chhatisgarh.  



1. BARA : Bara is one of the most delicious and crispy snacks of chhattisgarh. It is prepared during the festivals of chhattisgarh and it is the variant of South Indian Dish Vada.
Bara is prepared with lentils or fermented urad millets, with fresh corriander leaves, chopped onions and chillies. It tastes more delicious when served with tomato chutney. 



2. FARA/PHARA : Fara can be name as chhattisgarhi Dumpling or momos of chhattisgarh. Main ingridients of fara is rice and corriander leaves can be added as a flavouring agent. After making it Dumpling it is put on steam for 10-15 min and served with chutney.





3. MUTHIA : Muthia is prepared with rice batter and coriander leaves and sesame seeds added as garnishing agent. Muthia is served as a breakfast during winter season in rural areas. Muthia is delicious steam dumpling served with chutney which increases its taste. 



4. BHAJIA: CHHATTISGARHI Bhajia is one of the most popular snacks in rural as well as urban areas and loved mostly during rainy season. Bhajia is prepared with gram flour blended  with species. Bhajia is also of two types Onion bhajia and Mirchi bhajia.



5. BAFAURI: Bafauri is a famous breakfast in the land of chhattisgarh. People love to eat Bafauri in breakfast during winter season. Basically Bafauri is prepared with Chana Dal Flour mixed with various vagetables and the best alternative of oily Pakodas.



6. DUBKI KADHI : Dubki Kadhi is a part of main course food in chhattisgarhi lifestyle people love to eat Dubki Kadhi because of its tangy taste. Dubki Kadhi is a combination of pakodas made up ofgram flour paste and cooked with besan and curd.




7. SABUDANA KHICHDI : Sabudana khichdi is one of the famous dish in Chhattisgarh cuisine. People love to eat Sabudana khichdi even when they are keeping fast. Sabudana khichdi is prepared with soaked sabudana balls. Addition of peanut, boiled potatos and chillie makes this dish mouth watering.


8. CHILLA : Chilla is one of the most delicious breakfast during winter specially in rural areas. Chilla is not a Chhatisgarhi dish but still it is part of every family. Chilla is prepared from Rice batter, urad dal paste.



9. PIDIYA : Pidiya is a sweet which is prepared during festivals & occassion of  marriage. It is home made sweet dish which is very popular among Chhattisgarhi peoples beacuse of its elegant taste.



10. KHURMA : Khurma is also a sweet dish which is also famous as sewai in other states. Sewai is prepred with milk and baked vermicilies.Baked  Vermicilies are boiled in water, mixed with sugar and dryfruits.
